Food bank donations at St Mark's

The DONS are often outside our local supermarkets, and there is a basket in St Mark's Church entrance for donations. If you're not able to bring your donations to the church, please let me know, and I will gladly collect the items from you. Any donations of food are welcome, but the food/household items that are particularly useful are: washing powder/liquid (smaller sizes please, so they are easy to carry), tinned meat products, cooking sauces, tinned vegetables, puddings, tea, coffee, sugar, cereal and long-life milk. We are also grateful for donations of bubble bath, shower gel, deodorant, shampoo and sanitary products. Thank you for your support! Paula Thorvaldsen

Bishop Christopher sent us this message earlier in the week: Please consider joining Richard by fasting in whatever way you can- using the time to pray for food and aid supplies to get into the region and meet the needs of those who are suffering so terribly. Please be sensible in fasting, doing only as much as you can manage and following medical advice, where necessary. If you do join in, you can share what you’re doing on social media by using the hashtag #fastforgaza

We have a lunch hour service every Wednesday in the small Chapel at 1pm. It lasts about half an hour. It consists of prayer, a short homily followed by communion in a relaxed environment.
