St Mark’s Hall is located in the heart of Wimbledon Town centre, two minutes away from Wimbledon train and underground station, and close to many shops, restaurants and amenities.
Built-in the 1960’s and recently renovated, the Church Hall is mainly available for hire at weekends. During the week it accommodates the Butterfly children nursery in the morning and various groups and clubs in the afternoon. However, when not needed by them it may still be bookable, especially during half term and summer holiday.
St Mark’s Church has a spacious garden adjacent to the Church Hall, which is available for hire.

Deposit and rates
For larger functions only, we ask hirers to send us a deposit of £100 in the form of a cheque as confirmation of their booking. The deposit will be destroyed once the keys to the hall have been returned to St Mark’s Church Office and checks have been carried out to ensure that no damage has been done to the hall.
Our standard hourly rate is £37 for the Church Hall and £11 for the garden. There is a one-off charge of £5 if a bouncy castle is to be used.
Full payment is required on signature.
We regret that the hire fee is not refundable should you cancel the booking 30 days or less before the date of the hire.
Key Collection and Drop-Off
Arrangements will be made once your booking is confirmed to collect the keys for your Hire.
The keys must be returned immediately after the Hire.
The hall can comfortably accommodate 100 people standing and there are 15 Tables (1.8m x 0.9m) and 70 chairs provided. The tables and chairs must be folded and put away in their storage cabinet at the end of the function.
The hall has a small kitchen and hirers are welcome to use its cooker and fridge to prepare and store food if needed. However, crockery and cutlery are not available.
A disabled toilet can be found by the entrance to the Hall.
General housekeeping rules:
Rubbish collection and cleaning:
Hirers are responsible for leaving the hall in a clean, tidy condition, taking all rubbish home immediately after the event has ended as there are no bin facilities on site. A broom is stored in the cupboard situated to the left-hand side rear of the hall. Please bring your own cleaning products, bin bags and tea towels. All helium balloons must be removed after the event and we, therefore, recommend a long string be attached in case they rise to the ceiling.
Teenage parties: We regret that the Church Hall cannot be used for teenage parties.
Music: Music cannot be played after 10.00pm and noise must be kept at a reasonable level at all time to ensure it doesn’t disturb our neighbours.
Parking: Limited off-street car parking for up to 4/5 cars is available outside the hall. Alternately there are public car parks nearby in St George’s Road, Queens Road and Hartfield Road.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises as well as the garden.
Decorations: We regret that no decorations can be stuck on the walls using sellotape, blue tack or any other adhesive materials. If using balloons please ensure they are on a long string so they can be easily removed from the ceiling. Small tea candles can be used. Please be aware that any trace of wax must be removed from tables and floor. Any wax remaining will result in a cleaning charge being deducted from any deposit.
Safeguarding: Those who hire our facilities have to abide by our safeguarding policies. You can see a copy of the relevant policy here.
